Central Platte NRD to Discuss Platte Valley Industrial Park Project
The Central Platte Natural Resources District’S (CPNRD) Eastern Projects Committee will meet to receive additional information on the route selection and land rights for the Platte Valley Industrial Park Drainage Project. In 2019, CPNRD approved a proposal from the City of Grand Island and the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation (EDC) to address water diversion needs. The goal was to alleviate drainage issues within the park area, located between South Locust Street and Highway 281, by redirecting water into the south channel of the Wood River Flood Control Project.
